Testimonials:
Testimony of Leonard Jones, PGA Lifetime Member
Founder, Leonard Jones Minority Junior Golf Foundation
“As someone who has dedicated my life to opening doors for young people, particularly minority youth, I know the importance of programs that not only inspire but equip the next generation with real-world skills. That is why I am proud to share my testimony about the work of Zakariyyah Zabek, Founder of the Flower of Life Foundation, and the Young Entrepreneur Program he created.
Zakariyyah’s vision has brought to life a twelve-week curriculum designed to give students in grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to step into the world of entrepreneurship with confidence. This program is not just theory; it’s hands-on learning that teaches students how to start and run their own businesses. Over the course of the program, participants develop business plans, learn foundational business vocabulary, and explore every facet of entrepreneurship from marketing and customer service to record keeping, networking, and ethical decision-making.
I have seen firsthand the difference programs like this can make in a young person’s life. Zakariyyah’s curriculum empowers students to become problem solvers, critical thinkers, and future leaders. It aligns perfectly with my mission at the Leonard Jones Minority Junior Golf Foundation, building opportunities where our youth can succeed on and off the course.
In my many years as a PGA Lifetime Member, I have witnessed how discipline, training, and mentorship can transform lives. Zakariyyah’s program carries that same spirit of mentorship and empowerment into the business world. He is giving our young people tools to dream big, think strategically, and most importantly, believe in their ability to create a future on their own terms.
This is the kind of forward-thinking leadership our communities need, and I wholeheartedly stand in support of the Flower of Life Foundation’s Young Entrepreneur Program.”
